Reflections #01

Some time ago I was in a bus and I noticed that a young girl was listening to music in her headphones and moving, even a bit dancing to the rhythm while several old people were staring at her with an outraged and displeased face. It made me think that old people often don't adjust to new situations, they are kind of backward and also dislike young people. They probably can't understand that somebody is fully allowed to do whatever he wants as long as he doesn't hurt anyone else. They are indignant when they see a person acting in a little bit different way than usually. They often judge mostly young people too critically and they don't even try to understand anything. They immediately perceive their behaviour as something inappropriate, something that they never would do. They look at things in a very strict way. Maybe that's why many teenagers may find them unkind and reluctant to others.

  1. This is a very harsh opinion about 'old people'. Looks like young people don't like old people, right?

  2. I know that it was maybe too severe, but I didn't want to judge all older people. Some people might have completly different opinion as well.

  4. I don't have many problems with older people's behaviour. I think it's like with all the other people, some of they are nice and some of them not. It isn't anything associated with age.
